I think Russ is usually on the money for most things. The Pro Tools Expert site is brilliant and Russ (and others) should be thanked and congratulated for their work helping those in need of help.

But Russ has jumped the gun on a few occasions. Go check this site.
In fact Avid came down heavy on him at one point.
From this actual fact, you have extrapolated that i am down on the Blog.

The Pro Tools Expert (Air User) Blog is a great resource, Russ has done a wonderful job creating and sharing info and content. Thank you Russ (and others that have contributed).

Looking into where the wires got crossed on this one, but FYI we are working hard on qualifying the update for systems beyond HD Mac (supported by 10.1.1).
