power attenuator

i have a 100 watt tube combo i want to record in my small bedroom studio. ive read some on the thd hotplate attenuator and the kock 2. anybody used either of these or another? thanks.

I use a Dr. Z Airbrake. I've tried 'em all, this is my fave.

I use the Hot Plate and it works great. I still think you need ample volume when recording (even w/ the Hot Plate) - just seems to sound better to me.
