Default My fix for laggy and hanging protools session WIN 8.1 and HDN omni

Hi all I would just like to share my fix for a laggy and hanging protools bug or perhaps conflict I experienced with my custom p.c.

Finally got it..... well atleast I got it working now. With no hd's pluged in or any other peripherals. But she is snappy with no laggs or hanging. Sweeeeeeeeet!

For what ever reason my system being windows 8.1 HDN omni and my particular hardware only works on 11.02 it does not work on 11.1.2 or 11.20 in windows 8.1

I have done many hours optimizing, trouble shooting and all I needed to do was try 11.02 so if you are having problems that I had try this fix

Thankyou everyone for your help, Im over the moon. If any others want to see the original post see below. It was a nightmare but an easy fix doh!!!

There is still something definitely wrong. I am running an HDN w 11.2 and every release for the last almost 2 years on my 3930k without an issue. I am running 8.1 as well.

must be cpu 4930k ram dominator platnum plus 2133 or asus black edition rampage morther board. Not sure but I am just happy to be able to work. Too bad I cant get the latest but I got a rock solid install now. Every protools system I have ever had from le tdm and Hdn have always been drama's but when you get it working it is a great DAW. Sometimes I feel like switching to mac or going to another DAW just because of PT being so annoying but I guess you get that when it is trying to be an OS and look at every part of your system.

I know its not the processor, as I have built a system around it before, the ram is highly unlikely. I have not used an Asus board in a long time though.

Careful with chip set drivers and BIOS versions on Asus boards.
