First, welcome to the DUC.

Second, please turn off your caps lock. On the internet, typing in all capitals is typically used to indicate that you are shouting. Please stop shouting.

Last, please read through and try all of the suggestions in the General Troubleshooting thread. There are quite a few necessary configuration and compatibility recommendations there, as well as instructions for how to post detailed system specifications that we will need to help you further.

i don't see an extra hard drive for audio?

what is this? --> Hard Disk: SanDisk SD Plus USB Device

you need a separate hard drive for audio.

it must be 7200 rpm (SATA2, SATA, or IDE).

i only see one hard drive ---> Hard Disk: MDT MD1000BB-00CCB0 (93GB)

you could be causing too much traffic on the usb, because you are using a usb hard drive.

take that usb hard drive out of the mix for now - until you can figure out what is wrong.

--------------------------------------------------------------

also turn these off if you can (in the bios):

Hard Disk: SanDisk SD Plus USB Device

< MultiMedia Device(s) >
Device: Standard Game Port

< Communication Device(s) >
Device: Motorola iDEN plus Series

Serial/Parallel Port(s): 2 COM / 1 LPT

disable sound card if it isn't already diabled.

-----------------------------------------------------------

have you tested your memory?

i had an extra external hard drive for audio. but its usb and i know they are not recommended for recording so i have to get another one for recording.

Hard Disk: SanDisk SD Plus USB Device......this is an removable flash card for my digital camera i forgot to remove when doing the sandra....

im gonna get the other hard drive for recording. and im gonna disable the other things u mentioned in the bios... and ima get back to you if nothing has changed..

soomething else that is funny..... i was trying to get it to work yesterday and i ran a msconfig.... disabled the items i did not want it to start up with and when i restarted my comp. it loaded with only few of my programs. i had a different desktop backround and it looked as if the basic information had loaded..... i tried pro tools and funny enough it loaded....

so me being a dumb ass.... instead of looking up the settings to see what i had them at restarted my computer and when it restarted it was back to normal and of course pro tools would not load....

make any sense?

Yes.

Disabling startup items is one of the recommendations in the General Troubleshooting thread that I pointed you to, and it is recommended for this very reason. Something in your startup sequence is interfering with Pro Tools functionality. You need to experiment with the startup items to find out which one it is.
