Default Pro Tools SE - Publishing/Marketing

Hello,

Can I Publish/Market songs that I create in Pro Tools SE? Are the Loops/effects/instruments included royalty free? Any advice appreciated. Terms are better understood by lawyers. If I can't I have wasted $150 & need to look for another program.

Thanks in advance,
Dcader10

Hello Jarad,

Thanks for replying. I am glad to hear the loops/instruments/effects are royalty free. Does this mean I can publish/market/perform my songs that I create in Pro Tools SE? I would like to create some songs & sell them on for example, itunes & put them on internet radio & other mediums. Please let me
know of any limitations so that I don't misuse it.

Thanks again,
Dcader10

Royalty-free means that you can create, copyright, publish, and sell music made with the loops/instruments no sweat. The only thing you shouldn't be doing is distributing the loops themselves.

Hello derFunkenstein,

Have you copyrighted any songs you have made with Pro Tools SE? If so, are you familiar with Form SR? I am stuck on one of the questions.

I have not copyrighted any songs with Pro Tools SE, but If you email it to yourself that should be copy right in itself, but you have proof that it is yours. The date that you sent the email to yourself will be enough to keep anyone from stealing your music If someone does then they you will win in court, because you have stable evidence that cannot be falty.
