Default Segment of track not muted but not audible?

Hi All,

I've got a comped drum track and a section of it is not audible, it's not muted - but it is "greyed" out just the waveform that is ... unlike when you "mute" a segment the whole piece goes grey. Any suggestions?

Thanks much!
