Core Audio Mirror on 192

Hey,

I'm looking for a way to Mirror the 1 2 to the selected digital output on a 192 unit. Pro Tools 7.4.

I use it a CD burning program that I need to preview with a digital out instead of the just the 1 2 analog out.

I normally have the digital out on my 31-32 output.

Go to Hardware Setup. Click on output of first 192.

Is there a little '+' sign next 1-2? PT defaults to mirroring 1-2 out of AES. I know - anytime someone flushes the pref's I have to reset this for a guy who brings the AES in on different i/o and we go thru this. You can change it to whatever you want right there in HW Setup.

So what I'm after is just to have 31-32 be the output of the core audio manager When using another program such as a CD burner program.

You can't - Core Audio can only be routed through the first 8 outputs of the first interface connected to the Core card.

Forgetting the core audio manager for a second, can't you control-click on the outputs of your master to 31-32? This would mirror the 1-2... But if you need the CAM, I guess you're pinned to 1-8 (for whatever reason; I have no idea why but typically need more than 1-2 myself)... I do know that PT auto-mirrors the 1-2 on AES. Can you cross-patch?

Without getting into how we lay things out on the boards. I will just say it would have been easier to select whatever out you want in Core Audio. Maybe a future update?

I guess we will use the first suggestion and do the work around.
