Digi002 Reset problem

Hello...I heard that when the Digi002 was first released, it had some kind of problems like the output signal on the right channel was different that the one on the left channel and like sudden messages like: "Pro Tools cannot communicate with the Digi002 check if it is on then click ok".
And people having to reset the Digi002 many times because of sudden crashes of the digi002 itself.
Is any of this true? cause i intend to buy a digi002 and I want to know if by now these problems
have been fixed....
How reliable is the digi002????

Hey I am not sure if this helps but when I got my digi 002 my faders would always screw up, they would not properly automate and my firewire conection would always fail. I was then told that digidesign had sold a heap of defected digi 002's and I had to order a part called a "DC HARNES" and put it in my 002. After this it worked perfect no problems

Well thank you for the information...
It seems that the digi002 had a problem with their Power supply when they were first released but the problem seems to be fixed now with the new ones...
But i am trying to see if anyone knowns what are the serial numbers of the bad ones so that i don't get to buy it...
