[Q] DiskI/O data transfer rate in finder
Gakuji Kino****a posting from Japan. Sorry if not correct English. I am a Session8/ProTools III disk I/O user and have a question about FAST SCSI bus. FAST SCSI transfers data at about 10MB/sec if high speed fast scsi hard disk is connected to the disk I/O card and "enable fast scsi" is checked on Mt.Digi control panel. Recording audio data is all right, but in finder mode, files on one hard disk can be copied to another (i.e. 2 hard disks are chain-connected to the disjk I/O) at the rate of no more than about 680KB/sec. Please let me know the reason considerable. I use the NuBus disk I/O on Power Macintosh 8100/80 with Speed Doubler. Mac OS version is 7.6.1. Thank you.
