Default Is there a shortcut for this?

I want to add the automation dots (sorry not sure what they are called, keyframes?) to the exact start and end of my selected region using a key command. Is there a key command for this? Please see diagram below.

I tried your suggestion and it won't work for me (and yes tried keypad) is there a specific mode I need to be in for this to work? I tried with volume automation visible also tried with pan automation visible. I'm on mac running PT 2020.

Default Is there a shortcut for this?

In auto view I double click the region to select, then , c (cmd c) followed by v (cmd v).
This places break piont on region boundaries.

I must have a preference set wrong, that doesn't work for me either, as far as I know that would only copy and paste any automation that was already there on that selected cue?

With the grabber tool, a simple mouse click on the line will add a break point. Maybe the problem is on the screen and we can't tell from the screen shot. Is it showing volume or is it showing Clip Gain? Volume would be the desired view(or whatever thing you wish to edit such as Pan, some plugin parameter, etc)

Yes it does, but puts a break point on the region bounderies.
Try dragging the select tool from before region start over to after the region end. Now copy & paste.
Do you see break points ?

Ahhh!! I got it to work thanks to your suggestion.
Simply selecting the cue and command c + Command v wasn't doing anything but as soon as I manually added a random "break point" or "keyframe" inside the cue and then Command C + Command V it put "break points" "keyframes" at both ends and kept my manually added break point which is fine by me. Thank you so much!! This has been driving me crazy trying find a quick but accurate way of doing this.

That’s good to hear… But with the select tool if for example you select a section of volume automation on an auxiliary track and command c then command V you will then get two breakpoints.
So if you have some manually written automation and you want to boost the whole lotor lower the whole lot the above method works.
