Connecting AI-3...

I did a search,but no luck so here goes...I bought a used Alesis AI-3 from an individual-he didn't have a manual-and I'm on the road with no way to see one(long story)...how do I hook it up to my 001?Which port on the AI-3 to which port on my G4?Where to plug in my guitar,bass,mics,etc.?I hooked it up before I left home and was getting a popping and crackling noise-I had to leave and catch the bus,so I won't get to fool with it again till Monday-but I'm ready to write down any and all instructions by a kind soul...thanks and sorry for the dumb questions...

To connect a device like that is simple. You need a digi001, ai3 and 2 optical toslink-cables.

turn your stuff ON....

connect a cable from the port of the digi001 emitting red light to the port of the AI-3 NOT emitting red light.

connect a cable from the port of the AI-3 emitting red light to the port of the digi001 NOT emitting red light.

Set up protools as master, and the ai3 as slave. Set the input-switch on the ai-3 to analog. Connect your stuff and enjoy!
