Default PT 9 / Axe Fx 2 connecting

Has anybody been able to use the Axe Fx as an audio interface into Pro Tools 9? All I want to do is send audio via the USB from the Axe Fx 2 to my Pro Tools. When I go to create a new track in 9 the Axe Fx isn't an input option on the track. Any ideas?

I'm not aware of a way to have an AXE (or a similar USB device) pop up so easily within ProTools. Not just any USB device can be used with PT, not without the proper communication. Has this been implemented?

Unfortunately, it's a bit more complicated to get an Axe to show up in your list of available devices.

You'll need to check that Fractal has drivers for the Axe that support Pro Tools.

Your interface should show up in Pro Tools>Setup>Hardware and also Pro Tools>Setup>Playback Engine.

If it shows up in Playback Engine go to Setup>I/O and click Default button. Your I/O's should then be displayed as an option in each channels I/O selector.

I think I'm explaining this wrong, sorry I'm not great with computers.

This is what I want to do. I want to use my Digi 002R as the playback engine but use the USB from the Axe Fx to send audio to pro tools. Is that possible? Thanks for all the help.

I'd assumed that's what you meant. I'm unaware of any method of doing it.

No, but you can use S/PDIF.

The thing is, the Axe FX only operates at 48K so your PT session would have to be 48K too.
