Re: HOW DO I FADE OUT ON PRO TOOLS?
I turn the track views to show the volume meter, then choose the beginning point of a fade. Once that's chosen, I zoom all the way in and click the same spot on all the other tracks. I zoom out, zoom all the way in to the end of the song, and pull the fades all down.
Pretty basic...

Re: HOW DO I FADE OUT ON PRO TOOLS?
If you don't already have a master track, add one. It should show up with the volume editable in the edit window. Switch to the freehand pencil tool, click on the volume line (presumably at 0 db) where you want the fade to start. Then click on the line again after that. Switch to the grabber tool and drag the second point down to -inf wherever you want it to be faded out by. You can move either point and/or add extra points if you want to change the fade curve. You could also record the automation of the master fader if you have a control surface. Well technically you don't have to have a control surface but it does make it easier.

Re: HOW DO I FADE OUT ON PRO TOOLS?
Has ANYONE asked or wondered if what he's talking about is a FADE OUT at the end of the region and NOT an automation fade?
What are you trying to do, Lloyd?
