Default Possible Power harness issue?

I got my 002 in November 2002, and was quite happy with it. Until I had the dreaded power harness issue a few months later. I must say, Digi was spectacular at resolving it though, my new unit was at my door the next morning, and they provided a return mailer for the broken unit. The replacement has worked fine since then, until just about right now. I have been listening to itunes through it via core audio, when I glanced over at the 002 and noticed that it didn't say "working" on the lcd, it just said "welcome"
WELL, I quit itunes and restarted, and the digi went into standy by (and said "standby" on the lcd). Fired up itunes again, and the screen said welcome. Turned the digi off and back on, and now the screen is completely dark (no stuck pixels or anything). It still seems to be playing itunes stuff with out a problem.

I don't remember it going this way last time...does this sound like another power harness issue to anybody else?

Ok, maybe i'm seeing things, or maybe there's an intermittant problem, but i just quit itunes, and the display on the 002 came back to life. Upon restarting itunes, it now says "working" on the display.

Guess I'll just have to keep an eye on this.

It's only a matter of time. I've seen mine break a number of times. This is just one of the ways it tricks you into thinking it's ok. You've probably got 48 hours max.

Best regards,

Unbelievable- my timeline matches yours exactly, Phi..

Just got my RA# earlier today to take my 2nd Digi to the service center tomorrow..

Hopefully this one will last at least 8 months. I have a lot of work coming up.
