:snarl: PT8 cannot allocate enough space for recording
Hi everyone, I'm running Pro Tools 8.0.5 and out of the blue I got an error saying that Pro Tools could not allocate enough space for recording. This really shouldn't be the case because I have a 3tb GLYPTH GPT50 daisy chained with a Seagate FreeAgent 1tb FW800. My comp is an 24 inch Imac with 8gb ram. This error has happened before but not often. I have four Eastwest Play instances running and a Softube TSAR 1 reverb in the session that I got the error in. If anyone can help me figure out what to do I'll be personally very grateful. Thanks.

Re: :snarl: PT8 cannot allocate enough space for recording
Change from Open Ended Disk Allocation to 10 or 15 minutes

Unfortunately that didn't work. Can you think of something else?

Re: :snarl: PT8 cannot allocate enough space for recording
I'm not totally sure, how can I check that? I believe they have read/write permissions if that's what you're asking. The Glypth's default is for Mac OS and it's the one I'm using for this session.

Re: :snarl: PT8 cannot allocate enough space for recording
What OS version?
Have you tried running PT with one of the drives disconnected? Could be a bad drive. "For optimum performance, audio drives should be formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled)."
