ProTools 10 HD upgrade - Error missing iLok authorization

Hi - need some help urgently -

recently upgraded to ProTools 10 HD, received my licence to my iLOK, all visible in iLok Manager, but Pro TOols posts error on startup saying the well known: Error, missing iLok authorization for "Pro Tools 10". Please insert the necessary iLok and restart Pro Tools.

could anybody help, please? Can find any relevant solution and never experienced this before ...

Remove the license from the iLok, sync/repair the ilok wait a few minutes, activate the license again to your ilok, sync/repair again.

If the problem continues, send a support ticket to ilok. It take a will to resolve the problem, but they will.

Or try a uninstall of Pro Tools (Clean/Complete Uninstall) uninstall all ilok/PACE drivers and Reinstall Pro Tools.


Don't install the ilok drivers, by default Pro Tools installs the drivers

many thanks guys ! first helped - there was a bug in the new iLOK licence manager which messed up PT licences ...

We "suppose" that you we're using the latest version, Ilok now check for updates before it start.

Glad that everything is OK now.
