Default MTPAV and MAC - Autostart probs

Ive got a Motu MTP AV midi-interface connected via USB to my G4 533 Mhz Computah.
When i want to turn off the Computah the Computah starts again after shutdown - friggin automaticly - against my free will.

Isnt this a free land or what!?

When I disconnect the Midi-interface (pull the usb-plug from the Computah) everything is fine just fine.

What to do?

Ohh..and Im from Sweden, only so that you know.

I have the same problem, with a ZyXEL-omninet ISDN-Adapter connected via USB to my G4/400. Apple-Support told me it´s a bug in the ZyXEL-USB-driver. Others say it is an Apple-problem...
- simply put your G4 into "sleep-mode", this will work fine, or disconnect affected USB-device(s) before shut-down.

Put a powered Hub in between the G4 and the MTPAV or run the MTP from a monitor/keyboard port, not directly from the back of the G4. This has solved the problem for many of our clients!

Solved it.
It was simply a matter of the order in which
I turned off my EQUIPMENT.
Have to turn off computaH BEFOOOORE mtpAV.

Så.

This is a common problem, which is easily avoided by keeping the MTPAV (or other interface) ON while you shutdown.
Also verify that you have the latest drivers for the unit (FreeMIDI1.45, MOTU USB driver 1.15).
