Default Fast forward & rewind speed - D Command & D Control

Hi Again,

I am in between dubs so a good time to ask basic questions (that I probably should know but don't).

On a D Command & D Control with PT 9.0.2, is it possible to alter the speed of FF or RW? These seem to be especially slow. Ideally, I would like it to speed up the longer the buttons are pressed. Or possibly double press the FF or RW button invokes a faster speed...

The video is from Media Composer through a Nitris box.

I am possibly asking for the impossible.

Must say, I am enjoying PT after years of Audiofile.

Cheers

I seem to recall a setting in Preferences that relates to this. I use markers and rarely(if ever) hit the FF or REW buttons

Hi, In preferences, the only reference I can find to this is to latch the FF & RW keys.

I am still finding my feet with PT so may well abandon FF & RW in favour of markers - which are very useful.

Thanks

I don't think there's any preferences related to this, however the timebase you're using (TC / Bars-beats / Min-Sec) affects ff/rew speeds. I frequently shift to Min/Sec display just so the rewind speeds are more normal. And yes, it would be nice if it sped up the longer you pressed ff/rew...

best,
rich
