Re: subharmonic processor PI
Yeah, what up with the MAX bass.
I tried it about 20 times at a top studio with HUGE subwoofers and excelent monitors. I never kept it in the mix. Seems like a placebo plug in to me. |

Re: subharmonic processor PI
Maxbass Ren is better.
It might be the PI that I use the least, but it actually worked the few times I tried it, for adding freq that is not present to be boosted. Fex: Handclapping/feet stomping had too little bottom to carry the beat. Poorly recorded bass guitar. Of course this is audio repair, not tweaking mix of the year.

Re: subharmonic processor PI
I've got maxxbass as plug in to soundforge in my PC. I use it to finalize as part of a two step process (as #1) then limiter.
Result is a loud, warm track. Greatly improved many of my old mixes. Don't know how this info helps you. Old Timer |

Re: subharmonic processor PI
yea the maxbass REN works a little better. but i wish there was a PI that synthesized a bass note/freq that was an octave below the input's, just like the DBX120. oh well guess i'll just have to put the real thing in my rack for now.
thanks guys "hey bomb factory, make a soft version of the 120" -some guy heh seeya |
