VCA routing
Do you see any problem using the following routing?
I assign my 3 kick tracks to a VCA called KICK to control the volume (instead of controlling the volume with a classical group) Then I send all the 4 tracks (3 kicks & KICK VCA) to a global DRUM VCA. I like this technique because I can solo the KICK VCA, Snare VCA etc quickly... (instead of using solo save on a BUS) |

Re: VCA routing
There's nothing wrong with that. But you don't have to include the Kick VCA in your Drum VCA. I always have a VCA controlling all kick channels, another controlling all snare channels (samples included) and a 3rd that is the whole kit.
