Default How does Pro Tools handle Multi processor G4s

How does a Multiprocessor host like Pro Tools actually handle the load of softsynth instances in a dual processor G4? In other words, when I'm looking at the CPU indicator during an instance.....which processor am I looking at? I'm using a dual processor G4 with 1.25 Gigs of RAM running PT 5.1.1 in OS9.2.2 and 6.4 in OS 10.3.9. I'm still a little sketchy on this multi-processor thing.
