Default Midi events coming and going...

Has any body else seen this happen?

While monitoring a session, one of my midi track's sustained synth pad's last chord stayed on longer (forever actually) than initialy programmed, I check the midi event window and find that the sustain controller #0 event had been misteriously dissapeared. I re-played the session again, and re-checked the midi event list twice. So I went on and inserted the controller event again. Problem fixed. However, the next day when I looked at the same track's midi event window, suddenly there are two sustain #0 controller events (the original and the one I had inserted the day before)...
