iPad and Avid Control No Longer Works

For many years I used an iPad with Avid Control to do drum and vocal takes.

It broke a while back and won't work. Everything is on the same network, Eucontrol sees my iPad and lets me select it, but the iPad doesn't kick over and work.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried updating both Eu-Control and the Avid Control app to the most current versions?

yes. that didn't help. i can launch eucontrol and select the iPad and move it over to the right hand column but the iPad doesn't seem to connect.

Hmmm, not positive what could have changed in your system to break the working connection. Do you have enable Eucon selected in Pro Tools? It's under the Peripherals tab, ethernet controllers.

In recent versions of Pro Tools, it’s now in the toolbar along the top of the Edit Window. Is there a chance you have updated Pro Tools recently as well?

Yes, I had tried the Peripherals tab but it's moved.

I'm just trying to use my iPad and Mac Studio. If I can get it working I would like to buy a Fire 10, or something cheap, to leave in my vocal booth.

Sorry you are having issues. Just tried with 2023.9, most current EuControl and Avid Control on my 2015 MacBook Pro, and it connected right away, no issues. Do you have more than one EuCon Controller?

BTW, since I'm just using 2023.9 today for the first time, it's nice having the EuCon status and the abilty to select Eucon in the edit window now. Looks like you can still select it in Peripherals too though.

FIXED

Thanks for the help. The Syncronization wasn't checked, although Eucon was.

In case anyone else has this issue:

1- Make sure the tablet and computer are on the same network
2- Launch EuControl and add tablet
3- Launch ProTools and Right Click on the grey space near grid settings.
4- Make sure Synchronization and EuControl are checked
