Unstable on iPad

Twice now, Sketch for iPad has lost entire projects. That is, after creating some Scenes and doing a bit of processing, saving and closing, the project came up empty the next time I opened it. It's obviously barely a beta release at this time. More a toy than a tool. Which is too bad, because it has a lot of potential.

Have you tried opening your .ptsketch file on your computer in Pro Tools to see if indeed the session has somehow been corrupted?

Not yet. But if I can't rely on the app to allow me to continue working when and where I want, I might as well delete it and just use the desktop/laptop version

A ton of users out there and none reporting this one so I would be very interested if the suggest to open on the desktop version and check - what that outcome is.

Thank you! I deleted the empty Sketches already. But I'll keep making little things just to see if it happens again. If it does, I'll try sending it to the laptop and let you know.

I have two Sketches that have not lost data after multiple open/close cycles.

Today the project I saved this morning, on iPad, is completely missing. I’m quite angry about that since it was a really good idea and I don’t remember the details of my playing. Yesterday I had to restart another project when sketch crashed. No restore. This software is not stable enough for release.

Anger is not good, although I understand your resentment.
My observation, which partly coincides with this topic:
When I installed Sketch, there was a very acute demo. I liked it very much, but unfortunately I did not saved it. When I joined the Focusrite Scarlett 4i4, I lost it without warning. Today I uninstalled Sketch from my iPad and reloaded it, but it did not come back. Can I get the demo back somehow and if so, how? If not, it is not a big deficiency, but maybe it is possible?

Hi Benjamin....

Im asking support to look into this for you now.... case # 04708333. They will need to know what iOS you are on with the iPad etc.... so be prepared to provide them as much scoop as you can.
