Crazy time signatures...
I'm new here so I don't really know where else to post this question yet. I'm running Pro Tools LE 5.2.1 on an old mac G4 OS 9.2 with a 001 interface. I do my sequencing with Reason 3 running on OS X, (I have to switch between the two operating systems on the same computer.) I'm working on a song with a whacked out time signature; it flows well either as 5/4 with an extra half beat tagged on the end or 6/4 with half a beat shaved off. I can set the loop where I need it but obviously the bars/measures don't line up. I've tried changing the guitar riff to fit but 5/4 is too pushed and 6/4 is too dragged. It feels right the way it is. I know there's nothing to be done about this with such an old version of Pro Tools. My question is: have later versions incorporated an option for people who don't stick to normal time signatures? I plan to upgrade to a Mac Pro and Pro Tools LE/003 within a year regardless, but it would be a bonus if Pro Tools 8 could deal with quirky time signatures.

Re: Crazy time signatures...
in PT 8 you can use what ever signature you want. In your case 11/8 should do it.
