I paid for Skootch back-in-the-day. I can't find it anywhere online. I can't find my confirmation email. Does it still exist? Does it still work? Where can you find it?

Yes of course. Terrible POS to record drums... had to use the first three for kick, snare and mono overhead and then "mix" the kit to fourth track before moving on. Point being..?

My buddy had one of those Tascam 4-track cassette recorders. We did our first couple of recording projects for class on it. Then when I bought an MBox and Protools LE the next semester it was like the gates of Heaven had opened up and we quite thinking that analog tape recording was anything. That was back in aught 03-04.

Anyone that has experience with the only viable affordable option being a 4 track cassette, really appreciates everything we have today!!!!

Nothing like bouncing, and then bouncing again, and again, and again, until the hiss was so bad you wanted to start over, and that's exactly what you had to do, start over.....

I recently bought a used 4 Track so I could import all my old 4-track recordings into protools.

It feels to me like opening up voices to make ProTools simply compare to other DAWs isn't a 'feature' that I should be expected to pay for. I just paid $399 for a year of subscription and honestly the ONLY thing I even think I got for that was to able to search the plugins. Worth $400? yeah, no.

You know how Avid could make money? MPGA (Make Protools Great Again). Maybe we should make hats. Put in the features the people have been asking for for TWENTY YEARS. Make it stable. Make it so randomly my entire audio engine doesn't randomly assign all channels to various outputs, sometimes summing everything to the left channel, sometimes it's a grab bag. Make the CPU spikes stop. Folder tracks, marker improvements, folders in the region list...

Make it so people WANT to come to ProTools instead of constantly threatening to flee to the nearest other DAW. You make money when people WANT to use your software, not when they have to.
as i have said before.. not logic.. so not ever other daw i history.

So we're nearly 2 months into 2019 and still using a product labeled 2018. Why do I pay yearly again? Anyone?
