Anyone having success with 10.2 (Mac or PC)?

For me going from 10.1.2 to 10.2 the freezes has gone, but new issues has emerged.

I have had some errors leading to 3 sound dropouts in 2 days, and I have not used Pro Tools that much. Maby 4-5 hours in those two days.
This has been solved with a restart of Pro Tools. Strange thing is that I seem to have more issues working at 96khz 24bit than 192khz 32bit.

Another issue that seems to have come with 10.2 is that my Omni fan is creating more noise that with 10.1.2. Its mostly pretty quiet but randomly ramps up and down at times. This could be related to the recent warm weather we have where I live. Untill now the outside temperature has been low, but now summer is coming and with it higher temperatures. Im shure this affectes the Omni fan noise in a negative way

On the positive side 10.2 seems overall more responsive and quicker than previous versions.

I've had no issues with 10.2 (OSX 10.7.4) PTHD TDM, either at 44.1k, 48k, 88.2k or 96k. I prefer to work at the highest fidelity for music, so I never run at 192k and can't comment on 10.2's performance at that sample rate.

Can't say I've noticed it running any snappier for me than previous versions of 10.

the first time i ran 10.2 i got the first blue screen that i've had in years. after a reboot 10.2 ran as smooth as butter and has been ever since. i guess the BSOD was an anomaly.

so it's a big thumbs up here. way to go avid!

As it seems to me that the majority likes the upgrade, I try it today. Hope for the best, but as a realist I rather make a complete backup.

Fairly new to the Mac platform. Should Time Machine be enough of a backup before upgrading, or is something deeper required?

10.2 is actually worse for me. The -9092 and -9094 errors seem slightly more frequent. And before I never had PT crash when changing the buffer setting, but with 10.2, it's crashed once changing the buffer. Which is strange, because it seems for others 10.2 fixed that bug.

Anyway, overall, about the same for me. Frustratingly, plagued still by erroneous CPU errors.

I use the term "highest fidelity" to mean the highest or best sound quality.

All fine here in the meantime. Working bout 16 hours daily with PT10.2 since it came out. No crash or any other misbehaviors so far.

I had to remove an outdated demo of the ubk-1.aax plugin from the plugins folder cause PT was crashing while starting up.
As soon as I got the warning box that my demo time would be over and I clicked on quit or cancel, PT crashed.

I then deleted all PT-prefs, re installed PT 10.2 and installed it new again. Since then all fine

It's very strange that there's no info in the Readme bout BugFixes/improvements.

Pro Tool has been running great on both my rigs since version 9. I have been mixing and tracking @ a 32 buffer with no errors @ all (of course until I add so many plugins and VI's and becomes time to raise the buffer) but all has been good. I must say even with the past good success I still see a great improvement with 10.2. It's snappier (faster) and seem rock solid. I'm a happy camper with Pro Tools 10.2 and it has given me the best performance of any recording system I have ever owned. Keep up the good work Avid and thanks for this update. Now I'm looking forward to Version 11. I am totally ecstatic!
