As far as iPad controllers go that use HUI protocol, this one is the best. I think it's well worth the price and it's very responsive (fast). When I sold my Euphonix MC Control V2 (poor build quality, so it got kind of frustrating) I bought an iPad 2 and V-Control Pro and for the work I'm doing on my mobile rig it's been great!

Highly recommended.

THanks, I think I am going to go for it.
I notice it connects via Wifi and not bluetooth-- Is the setup easy? (For it to find the computer on your wifi network etc?)

setting up is very easy,as long as your computer and iPad are connected through the same AP.

all you need to do is download ney-fi from Neyrinck website,turn it on,then your v-control app would see your computer,chose your computer,then there is some simple setup inside pro tools,instructions are all over youtube

Does anybody know of a similar app that would do pretty much the same thing say from a Mac laptop? So I'd have the actual PT application on a MacPro, but be able to move around the room with a MacBook, possibly...
