Default open, record and play back on NAS

Hi all. Pro Tools 10 (not HD) can open sessions, record and playback on networked drives?. Any network drive? (not special SAS, or iSCSI). Thanks for your reply

AFAIK you need HD with the Ram Cache to be able to run from a network drive..... please feel free to correct me if this is not so!!
