12HD support plan again...

I bought the support plan and 12HD upgrade back in 2014, and now the expiration date is closing in.
But they want me to pay 428 € pr. year to get what?
I have never ever in my 18 years with pro tools, called support ...and I don't use any of the plug-ins they offer in this bundle.

So what happens if I don't re-subscribe?

And is there any good reason to stay on HD at all anymore? ...I have HEAT, but hardly ever use it, and I only do music...so no surround mixes, and my hardware is UAD.

Should I just let it expire...and when I need to upgrade again, just buy a vanilla version?

The main reason is to stay current with what ever version of PT that Avid releases. If you don't renew you won't get PT13 for "free" when it comes out, or 14 etc.

As far as vanilla vs HD, that depends on if you need/use the HD features. That is something you will have to decide.
