In same boat gentleman. New Mac Pro looks like too much for me so now upgrade my 6 core 3.33 cheese for either iMac i9 or Mac mini?

Don’t care about display but would like power for my money so it will last longer.

I'm totally happy with my 2018 Mac Mini, upgraded from a 2012 Mac Pro. Personally I don't like the idea of iMac as my converters, external drives etc, can all be far behind my desk and not have to reach up the iMac sitting on the desk.

Same here! I up graded from a Mac Pro trash can late 2013. I find it to be just as quite but a lot more powerful. I haven’t looked back! It is a great little machine. I do plan to purchase a Razor Core X for faster graphics but it is not necessary for just audio. I also wanted to play it safe and get away from a machine that will be fading soon.
