Default I/O changes every time I open session????

Why is it that every time I open a session (on OSX.6.7.. PT9.0.3) it tells me my I/O setup has changed??? It hasn't....etc.etc..
Not only that... every so often, it'll change the Core Audio driver!!! WHY???? I didn't ask it to.

None of my other DAWs and standalone audio app s to this.. it seems too sensitive to something. I'm not sure what!
