They are not button caps but button trees...to change them requires removing the overlay (breaking it) and a lot of disassembly.
We thought that changing the function of those buttons and providing stickers was in the best interest of customers.....you can always put commands that resemble the actual button names and not use the stickers

Haha... but ok. Stickers then. Or do a free exchange for the specific module section that needs stickers. Pro unit. The studio can receive a updated module and then they send back the one that needs stickers. Or are all the new modules using stickers as well? Or will they be printed with the correct function?

Go above and beyond. Think of the bigger picture. Does the s6 flagship warrant stickers? Like it's a random midi bedroom controller? Or is the proper fix of this issue for the flagship s6 a properly printed function buttons?

From what I'm hearing we should have left the keys doing whatever they were before. I can certainly post the old Appset if anyone wants to go back and not use the stickers?
As I'm sure you realize swapping out over 1000 customers MAM's would not be financially feasible.

Just giving you grief. I don't recall SSL ever issuing stickers for the buttons on my old G.

Just pointing out stickers are for hello kitty and not a pro console. And yes swapping out 1000 consoles modules can be a financial strain. But it is the pro thing to do. If it was a Mackie control I would be OK with stickers.

Have you seen Avid's financials? You need to be pragmatic. You want to bankrupt them? Yes I'd like properly labelled buttons too but if your muscle memory hasn't kicked in then maybe spend more time with an S6.

I submitted my request for the stickers, but to be honest, I rarely look at the buttons anymore, so I still don't know if I'm going to use them.
I agree it's unfortunate that the first batch came with the old labelling, but this is the price early adopters pay maybe. At least I don't think about this as a big issue.

If I spend over $100k on a board I expect better than stickers. If you designed it so that changing the keys is a pain point come up with a better option.

Stickers are an insult.
