Do you know if a 1/4" mic (cable) can be plugged into the mbox...or does the mic you use have to be XLR?

Yes, you can use a 1/4" connector - just plug it into the center of the Source 1 or Source 2 inputs, as the connectors are 'dual input' and accept either XLR or 1/4". The mic itself must be a 'Hi-Z' or high impedance mic.
You'll also need to select 'line' or 'instrument' for the source type on the front of the Mbox. Keep in mind that the gain available for 'line' or 'instrument' inputs is less than what you can get with the 'mic' input and it may not be enough to get your mic input to a decent level. |
