Default CPU load changes with PT10

For those of you that have upgraded from 9 to 10, could you please share your experience/observations with CPU load improvements? If so, could you please quantity (ex. reduced from X% to Y% with the same file)? Also, if you could please list the bit and sample rates you are using? This would be most appreciated for those of us still on the fence for justifying the upgrade price.

kw88keys,
I cannot give you the exact figures as you requested since I have already upgraded both of my ProTools PCs with version 10. I will say this, i have 2 older machines (dual core) running with 4GB of RAM. After upgrading, I pulled up my 3 latest sessions and found the CPU (RTAS) utilization was actually 2-3 percent higher than was the case with version 9. I did not note a siginficant difference but it was unfortunately not an improvement. I have just ordered a quad core processor, motherboard and RAM so I do not expect this to be an issue for me, but wanted to provide you with some feedback.

CPU load shouldn't change much between Pro Tools 9 and 10 - some may see slightly better performance, some may see slightly worse depending on several factors like the number and types of plug-ins used, fades used in the session, etc.

All in all our testing shows it's about even.
