Default Lag when playing video in PT 8

Hey everyone!

First post and many more to come after upgrading to the 003 Rack and PT 8...

A very annoying issue I've been having is that when playing video online in PT, it takes about three seconds from hitting space until anything plays. When I turn video off, play is practically instantaneous.

I've read previous forums and many directed me to trying to switch the system preferences to internal sound output when using PT. But this confuses me, the only option I have when PT is running is the 003 HW outs.

If anyone has any other thoughts or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!

Switch it from the "System Preferences" then "Sound" while PT is running? The only option is DIGI 003 HW, I've tried that already.

Or do you mean I always have to have my system outputs set to internal? (ie, before launching PT).

I'd prefer not to have to always set my system outs to internal.

Ok, yeah the trick is to have the outputs set BEFORE launching PT. Then of course, when I'm done with PT I'll have to set my outputs back to the 003.

Hopefully this small workaround can be fixed so that it is automatic!
