Re: Focusrite 18i20
And if the rumors are true 11.1 soon.
Avid does seem to have the installers sorted out nicely.

Re: Focusrite 18i20
I just hooked up my new 18i20 this week. I received the same message as the OP. Turning off the Dynamic Plugin Processing seemed to stop that.
However, whenever I enable a track for recording, Pro Tools crashes. Also I am just getting a digital noise buzz through my headphones, instead of feed from the Microphone. Any thoughts? Thanks

Re: Focusrite 18i20
Is there any progress with this problem. I'm experiencing it. It seems to be worse when I try to use 24 bit projects. This is as I see it a protools problem as I can switch sample rates in another DAW without problems.

Re: Focusrite 18i20
I take it that there is not? Can anyone recommend a work around for this. Even endless rebooting is not a reliable solution for me.

Re: Focusrite 18i20
I take it you may not be looking in the right places.
And what exact problems of the several mentioned in this thread are you after a fix for? Just being able to use different sample rates? Likely useful workaround for this have been posted on DUC for a while. You need to search for your exact error message both on DUC and Google and Focusrite forums etc. and you should find things. One thing is to make sure the Pro Tools session and interface sample rate are set to match (using the Control software) and the other is to try the new beta driver. For a start see these threads... http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=342769 http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=349833 if these do not help you then come back here and explain that. |

Re: Focusrite 18i20
Hello all, new to this forum, I had the same problems with PT 11 & Windows 7 Pro 64bit not recognizing the Focusrite 18i20 interface. Focusrite tech got back to me with a new USB beta driver @ http://beta.focusrite.com/file.php?id=1043
and also a new Scarlett Mix control 1.8 @ http://beta.focusrite.com/. install the Mix control first then install the USB beta driver. This so far seems to be working fine. Hope this helps . |
