Barracuda won't mount at startup on G4

Hi, sorry for this maybe newbie question, but I have the following problem:

I have a Seagate Barracuda SCSI disk (4.3 GB) that I used on my old 7300/180. I put it inside my G4 which has an Adaptec SCSI card (the 2906 or something like that, I think).

The problem is that it doesn't mount at startup. I can mount it with SCSI Probe (although it gives me an error -60 or -56 in the log)and use it without problems. The disk SCSI ID is 2.

I want the disk to be mounted at startup. I already tried the following:
- used ID 0 and 2.
- checked "mount at startup" on SCSI Probe.
- formatted it in HFS and HFS+
- Update the driver with Drive Setup

At one point one of the programs said "logical unit not supported" or something like that.

Any help will be deeply appreciated.

Sounds like a problem I just had: cheetah formatted and mounted with FWB version 3.0, mounts on restart, no longer mounted on cold start. Problem was corrected by reformatting cheetah drive with FWB version 4.0, which is OS9-compatible; (3.0 officially not OS9-compatible). At least, we think that was the change responsible for the problem going away. Good luck.
