(it's a little OT, but which version of QT are you running? The latest 7.7.9 excludes Win 10 on paper at least. Agree with guitardom that my understanding is that PT12 at least doesn't use QT, so the hold up is probably another issue. The silence from Avid, as usual, is deafening).

I wouldn't say there has been silence from Avid. They updated their Windows 10 Compatibility page today. http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...-Avid-Products

No word there about Pro Tools, but so it goes.

The other Win10 compatibility page was updated a few weeks ago, this one does have PT info.

..which, for PT users, is silence isn't it? Since last summer, just a dire warning not to upgrade, and that's it. The extra information on the links doesn't seem to pertain to PT specifically, we can only guess what the hold up is.

We're just used to a communication vacuum. How hard would it be for someone from the development team to drop a line saying "we appreciate it's frustrating, but we're still having issues with xxx, working with Microsoft to resolve it etc etc". Nobody wants it rushed out in a mess, but since PT is now officially the last DAW standing, the continued unexplained delay is starting to feel just a little odd. Things will get ever more pressured as we approach that 1 year point, with the free update running out.

Oh, and all the talk of "everyone should not upgrade" also misses a rather critical point - new systems are mostly only sold with Windows 10 (almost universally with laptops). Its starting to feel like the car will only run on leaded and there's only unleaded at the pumps.

My QT version on W 10 is 7.7.6 and when I go to update the software it comes back and says Your QT software is up to date.

Ok went to Apple and manually DL the 7.7.9 and it did install on Windows 10.
