I like the feel and response of the Raven better than any hardware Pro Tools controller I’ve seen yet. Fwiw

But it seems to me the original poster is asking for groups but doesn’t want to call them groups.

Yes a momentary group... would be a wonderful thing to have this as a hotkey combo, wish I had it all the time.

Nope, it's about marking different faders and moving them simultaneously. In Logic e.g. you only need the mouse pointer for that. Actually, any DAW can do that, just Pro Tools apparently not.

I can't find a "replace" button nowhere.

This made me literally lol.

It's also just plain annoying, and definitely NOT so easy to keep track of in large sessions with numerous subgroups (or supergroups?).

I must agree. I can count on one hand the things I think Logic does better than PT, but this is one of them.

That’s a group.

Right, but in Logic you can instantly create momentary groups just by selecting channels.

I think you're just being deliberately obtuse. I really can't see what's wrong with asking for a feature where you can grab a bunch of selected faders and move them quickly without the tedium of having to create a group, move faders, and then deselect or delete group. I would use this feat in a heartbeat if it was available.

Say you want to do a volume ride on five tracks that are not in the same group.

Method 1.

1. Disable any groups that the individual tracks currently belong to
2. Create a new temporary group with the selected tracks
3. Make the desired fader moves
4. Delete the group
5. Re-enable the groups that the tracks originally belonged to

Method 2.

1. While holding down a modifier key, select the tracks that you want to affect.
2. move faders
3. Get on with your life (optional)
