this is strange. If I switch the signal generator to read a value of 528hz which is supposed to be middle C it read C+16 and no 0 like A did

I just tested several notes from this table and they all were perfect.

I tested from that table and they were right. Now question is why is it if I take an acappella track from someone that can actually sing and track their pitch it's off?

go here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgEzZdwQx9g and convert this to mp3 by listentoyoutube.com once you have the mp3 load into autotune and track the pitch. See it's off. This sounds in key to me.

Human's are the worse witnesses.

The song may have been sped up or slowed down a fraction at some point including its pitch. Is it consistently the same amount off?

Does Melodyne agree? Waves Tune?

Does the frequency of a voice change when it's digitally recorded?

I don't have melodyne or waves. I only have Antares AutoTune. I'm installing Melodyne demo. Will let you know what it says.

It's still the same in Melodyne. I watched a tutorial video on their website and the guy in the video says that the cents don't have to be accurate just that it sounds good. If it doesn't have to be accurate whats the point in having the program in the first place?
