A new control surface is one thing i DO NOT want to see.

I own a D-Control. I do not need to see its value depreciated any faster than it has!

I am still all for Eucon being ported to the D-Control. It would be killer.

The thing about the icon desks is people are soooooo used to working on them that to boomerang it now would really shake things up badly.

If they did release a new desk they would need to do some subtle tweaks on the icon as it is now so people can bounce between studios still using the older icons and not slow down.

I posted this before the Pro Tools 10 event. So far as I am told, Avid will refresh some of the controller line (didn't say which one) but no one knows when.

edit for eating crow - I misread the date of your post. You're talking about the AES show - well nothing happened on the Icon front.

Sorry. I'm going to the Avid/RSPE event though, and there is suppose to be some kind of upgrade to the MC, so I let you know what is up.

Got that email; it's a shame as that's a west coast event and I'm on the east coast and I don't fly.
