Default CD burner

Hi people I have a 667 p3 /256 ram and a couple of hard drives.I am about to buy a cd burner[computer host power]and have sussed a few brand names within the conferance,My concern is that my pro tools sessions are fully loaded and will the process of burning a cd be an extra load on the computer affecting pro tools perfomance or capacity,any advice appreiated thanks.

The CD burning process really should have no impact on protools because it is completely separate.
Bouce to disc, close Protools, open your CD software and burn the CD.
You don't burn a CD from protools itself.
