Default Re: No sound on xmon main out

If I were troubleshooting this I would connect an audio source to the Alt inputs of the Xmon to see if audio was able to pass through to the speakers. That’s where I would start, assuming I already knew the speakers were working and wired correctly.

Then I would make sure audio was coming out of the 192 analog outputs. If both of things tested positive then I might consider a cable issue between the 192 and Xmon or an issue with the Xmon Main outs.

Did you do a factory reset on the Dcommand?

Hi everybody, found the problem!

Because I’m using the db25-db25 cable that I was using in the older procontrol sytem, I founded (with the seller’s help) that this particular cable is wired as with the db25 standard diagram connection on interface side, but different wired diagram on the procontrol side, as you can see in the picture.

Now, I need to buy standard dsub25 cable and it should works!

I was sure that it was not a basic configuration issue.
Thanks all for your help!

Best regards

As I am sure you realize by now, the MAIN outputs are wired for surround sound. So if you are using a normal AVID DB25 to DB25 cable, you would use channels 1 and 5 in to get the sound from XMON and controlled by D-Control.

Also ensure that you have the (green) L & R buttons pushed under the LED display and that its set to Solo and not Mute. (in the picture you have mute on)

I hope this helps. Feel free to PM me if you need any additional help.
