Default QT video, problem importing audio track

I have a strange Video problem after updating to PT10 from 7.3. Sorry if this has been covered before, I searched the DUC and google and couldn't find anything.

The problem I'm having is that when I import a video file into the PT timeline and select import audio also, the audio track is longer than the picture. It doesn't seem to always be a certain % longer. A 120TV spot has the audio 12 frames longer (29.97NDF) and a 30TV is a little less than 2 frames longer. Yet a 20min film reel has the audio only half a frame long.

The video seems to be the one that's the right length. Running through the various Pull Up/Down options don't get the audio and picture to line up (even though I shouldn't have to use that).

I've imported video that I used in 7.3.
I tried importing through the Import menu or dragging from the desktop.
Also tried importing into sessions with different sample rates.
I've imported DV files, H264 and Apple Intermediate

Here are the system specs:

PT 10.2.0
QT 7.6.6
Blackmagic Intesity Pro
Mac 10.6.8
3GHZ dual core with expansion chassis
5GIG Ram

Default Re: QT video, problem importing audio track

I managed to get ProRes working with my QT. Using the ProRes codec seems to have solved the problem. Even when the original video file imports out of sync if I translate to ProRes the audio imports in sync.
