Default Elastic Audio

Up until 4 months I had Tools 8 for a very long time. I upgraded to 11. What I am writing about is elastic audio. I used to be able to record at a certain tempo, speed it up 30bpm and be able to see what it sounded like at that tempo. It was a flawless procedure in Tools 8. I am finding now, with 11, that bass, in particular, sounds really garbled when there is a radical bpm change. Is there something I need to check? I am using a PC, by the way, with Win 7/64.

Thanks!
