How about losing the 128 track limit and leaving all 256 voices freely available?

That would have "felt like" we are getting *a little something* from time to time, in exchange for our continuous support to Avid with the now outrageously expensive annual renewal fee (mostly for bug fixes that we should never have had to pay in the first place).

I can understand the 7.1 surround and atmos being reserved for the more expensive version, but the track limit is REALLY unreasonable.

I updated to 2020.5 just a week or two back. Was just about to update to .9 this morning. Glad I dropped in here first as I have some studio work to do tomorrow.

2009.5 to me seems to be the most solid ver I have had. I don’t get any crashing at all now. I used to get just 1 when a first run of a session from boot up. So I’m happy with .5 for now. Hope you folks get it sorted soon.

It PROVES one thing... The 32 I/O Limit and the Voice Limit of Native ist just a code line... Bring up one false variable and you only 64 Stereo Tracks...


So what does this bug tell us... AVID do this limitations on purpose....for Vanilla and Ultimate... It proves, that other Daws (Studio One,Logic,Nuendo) can have 999+Tracks and unlimited I/O... It proves, that Avid makes the limitations for a good reason...Everybody can think about it, why...

+1. At least this as an excuse, which I don’t know I have the feeling it was on purpose.
