Still experiencing delay compensation bugs in 11.3
The problem comes when trying to re-record multiple audio tracks to a new audio track using internal buses.
When tracks going out 1 main buss it works just fine. When prints stems or processed tracks, Delay comp is nowhere to be found even though it says its on. Anyone else still getting this? Need a fix to continue using my workflow. EDIT: The scenario is comping a 100+ track session down to around 30 tracks while adding some processing on the way. Probably a total of 15-20 internal busses recording at the same time

Re: Still experiencing delay compensation bugs in 11.3
Are any of your tracks using dummy buses as outputs? A dummy bus is a bus that is not routed to a physical interface output.

Re: Still experiencing delay compensation bugs in 11.3
I've had protools 11.3 for a month of steady tracking and have had nothing but trouble with delay comp. Sometimes it works and suddenly my trax are way off the click and the delay coming off the monitors is crazy bad. There's no way Avid fixed this bug.

Re: Still experiencing delay compensation bugs in 11.3
You need to set the preference to 'override automatic low latency mode' if you are trying to record on audio tracks and aux tracks at the same time when using delay compensation. Otherwise audio tracks will be set to low latency which means they are NOT being delay compensated while the aux tracks are being compensated.
See: http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=363328 ProTools 11 manual pg 947 In certain dubbing workflows you may want to cascade bus recordings to multiple tracks. In these cases you should be sure to override Low Latency Monitoring on the recording tracks.

Thats it! I had just been clicking I for input monitoring on the record tracks. I just turned that off and made them record armed instead. All delays were compensated for then. Just curious, you have said turn off the preference. I looked in the preferences menu and couldn't find an option the way you worded it. Is there something in the preferences menu to check on and off? Or is it simple don't click I or use input monitoring? Anyway thanks for the fix and information. Cheers!

I work in two phases, premix, compdown, where pick what mics I like best from the original session, add a minor amount of compression or EQ. Then print down the comps to 30 to 40 tracks all internally using "Internal" or "dummy" busses. Then I send everything out their own analogue outputs to my summing console and start the final mix.

There are some particular plugins I have that I can not use due to the fact they never are compensated for properly. There are still issues and a fix is needed in a dot. update.

Please allow me to clarify my prior statement. If you have an internal bus that neither feeds a physical output or acts as an input to another track, then it is a dummy bus. These dummy buses will break delay compensation.
