Some tracks fade out while frozen?
Hi,
Sometimes I'll freeze a track to free up some processing power. However, it is often the case that the volume of that track will jump around like crazy for no reason when I do so. This happens on tracks with no automation at all, just simple EQ and compression and saturation. I read once that one of Sly-Fi Digital's plugins (Deflector) was doing this for a moment before a patch. Is this a similar situation? And why the hell does it always seem to happen with guitars only??? It's the weirdest thing. It's never happened to me with drums, vocals, or fx, or busses. There is no plugin I use on guitars that doesn't end up on plenty of other instruments. Pro Q2, Softtube's free tape saturator, maybe Saturn, and RARELY McDSP's Ultimate Channel Strip are all I ever use on guitar, and those plugins are all over my sessions elsewhere. What gives?? |

Re: Some tracks fade out while frozen?
By the way, I'm running PT 12.7.1 on OS 10.12.6 with an i7 processor and 16 gigs of ram.
