Also, How long does the demo last? I need to time my install for maximum use.

Demo lasts forever....

Its just limited in the sounds you can use (only the 20 sound available on the website)

If you register your free version, the 6 notes polyphony limit will be cleared, and you can go any numbers.

Its nice.....

I really love it!

I just downloaded the Sonic Reality piano and strings from the Sampletank website. It's VERY good.

I've been playing around with the free version for a couple of days now and I'm definately going to purchase it.

I must admitt i never really read the manual for the free version, and i felt i didnt need to. I was able to use one auxtrack with sampletank to input something like 7 different instruments. It is very inuitive and easy to use imho.

I noticed something,
I used Sampletank the other day to have a click track. My playback buffer was at 1024, the click track was not stable, sometimes rushing, sometimes dragging. I dont think its a problem with sampletank, but with Protools. I put the buffer at 128, and the problem was solved.
Anybody have experienced that problem ?

The little set of drums is surprisingly pretty nice... I made a stand-alone sample of the snare today, to compare with my others, and it's decent. I was telling Bastiaan, I even like the piano. At least it sounds more real than many...
I think SampleTank is probably a good buy in general.

I compared it with the piano in my roland groovebox and soundblaster 128 pci, and they are completely blown away by sampletank....

The samples i have in my samplecell are better though....but they are something like 32 MB in total...

Very cool Guys, thanks.
I'm looking forward to getting out to the studio to try it out.
